I have said it before and I will say it againā€“Rachel Harrison just has a way of pulling you in and making you want more. This book was such a quick/fun read! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a little adventure to self discovery with a town background that resembles Stars Hollow.

I love a good self discovery/female friendship combo šŸ„² this was an equally sweet and creepy read, definitely needed to work on the pacing in this story but otherwise so enjoyable!!

A solid second novel by NYC novelist Rachel Harrison. Annie is a early 30-ish teacher, who jumps at a chance to take a teaching job in a fictional Catskills area town in upstate New York; Annie thinks this move will help her close the book on her failed NYC romance. In the town, Annie meets the enigmatic Sophie and is enthralled by Sophie's confidence and her support of Annie. Sophie lives in a veritable mansion and the town seems to be under her power so to speak.

Two main strengths of this book is the narrative is kept moving, and the characters are interesting, if a bit close to small village cliches. The humor and dialogue help guide the book along. (Rating: 3.3-3.9 stars/5.0 stars).

NOTE: If you detest and or are afraid of spiders, you might want to skip this book, they figure in the plot.

Is this the best title EVER?? Not at all what you'd expect, with life lessons to take note of. Hard to put down, making this a one day read.

It's a super easy read. I enjoyed the witchy vibes throughout this book, and it just felt cozy. Sophie was such an interesting character, and Ralph, the spider, was so cute.

If you're looking for a huge climatic moment, this would not be the book for you, but I enjoyed that I could just take it easy when reading this book.

This was a fun one. I now only want to read Witch Lit for the next 3 months.
