This addtion to the Beauty Trilogy is for the most part superfluous. It adds little to the lore.

While not as good as the first three books in the series, it still should not be missed. What happens when the slaves that were returned to their real lives comes back and takes the reigns over the slaves they once were. Some things stay the same and others are vastly different. But in the end Beauty's Kingdom is a land of sex, slavery and ultimately freedom.

I really wanted to enjoy this book. A.N. Roquelaure's Beauty trilogy was a significant influence on me. I have read it multiple times and the idea of returning to the characters was thrilling, but I got to a point where I couldn't even continue reading this newest installment.

This was a struggle. 2.5 stars rounded up because I did like the original trilogy.
