Strangers on a London bus join forces to help an elderly man with dementia reconnect with his lost love from 1962. Libby, brokenhearted and adrift in London, is inspired by Frank's story and launches a search for the woman with red hair he met on the number 88 bus decades ago, discovering unexpected connections and finding hope for herself along the way.

A bit flat compared to others in the 'cozy-senior-found family' genre (Clare Pooley, Jesse Sutanto)- as some of the characters and relationships are fairly shallow and stereotypical, but it's still a sweet, fuzzy, quick read.

I enjoyed this overall and think it’s worth a read. There were parts of the story that I really, really loved and was surprised by, but I wish we could have seen a little bit more
of the relationship between Libby and Dylan. It felt like a lot of them becoming friends and falling in love happened in scenes that weren’t in the book or were just mentioned in passing. I just wish we could have seen a little more!
This book was also much sadder than I anticipated, but there was a lot of hope and joy throughout that was a good balance for the sad and bittersweet parts.

This is a really sweet and heartfelt story. I related to Libby a lot (not only because we share a name)- we’re people pleasers and sometimes get bulldozed by the people in our lives. Sometimes she was frustratingly naive but I loved watching her carve a life out for herself in London. There we more twists in this than I was expecting but I love how everything was tied together in the end. My only complaint was that the audiobook narration was a little flat for me.

Cute romance. Libby, Frank, and Dylan are delightful characters. I enjoyed their stories and the interactions with each other and with the other characters. The discussion of dementia and it’s affects is not heavy handed, but dealt with care, concern, and reality. Well done.

Sweet, tugs at the heart strings.  Makes me want to hop on a bus in London and meet people!
