For me, this book of letters really composed themselves into a story and told of Vita and Virginia in such a beautiful personal way that I did not want to pause reading. From vivid descriptions of their feelings towards each other, their longing and their affection, to the beauty in the mundane they write of in their letters, to humour that they shared together and views they discussed, I was really captivated and wanting to read more. They both had different personalities and writing styles which really come across in these letters, making them even more interesting to read. It felt a real privilege to have this insight into their dynamic, as I know these letters are something very intimate. To think that words on paper can express that much love is incredible really. It leaves you wondering how their bond must have been in person too. By the end of it, I was in tears.
Moderate: Suicide and Suicidal thoughts

What an absolutely amazing start to 2022, my first finished book of the year, I loved every moment of this book and could not put it down. I devoured it slowly and enjoyed every moment of it, sumptuous, slow burning, desire filled and ultimately heartbreaking.
Two very interesting women, in love and the absolute lust and poetry amongst their letters is just something else.
