Read as a audio book, on Audible and LOVED IT!!

These two are quite the couple who are very cared dominant but are focused on each other.

Another easy light read, beautiful story line and worth the read!

Audible listen - I enjoyed the majority of this book. I really found the last 2.5 hrs the most interesting. I did feel like it could’ve been much shorter as it dragged in a few chapters.

Alex and Violet were a great match overall. Alex was an uptight asshat. He really didn’t have a reason to be other than he was chasing after his father’s career achievements. He was so singularly focused that he paid no attention to any other aspect of his life. He was so beige. Violet brought so much color to his life (and hellz yes the pun is intended.)

Violet was so engaging. Her past was more than disappointing and she had every reason to be super skeptical of relationships. She was lost and kind of floating to the opportunity to move to London for a bit made sense for her. I loved how even though she was incredibly intelligent, she never acted like hard work was beneath her or treated anyone as if they were ignorant.

Alex needed someone exactly like Violet to rock his world. I can’t say the same thing for her. She brought more to his life than the other way around. But we love who we love and he really did turn a corner because of her. Oh and their steam factor was crazy!! So much chemistry.

My favorite thing was Violet shutting Alex down when he went back on his word. She made him work for it! It was not a simple apology or one lame text. She knew her worth and wasn’t willing to compromise!! Oh and she was totally unapologetic about loving sex. She was fantastic!

Meh... not a lot of plot development or complexity for me

I really loved this book. Victoria and Alexander had such a great story.

You could tell these two had chemistry from the beginning. It was a little slow-burny for me at first, but it picked up really fast. Victoria is the perfect match for Alexander. She gives it right back to him and it was great. She had me laughing quite a bit in the book.

Alexander I really enjoyed as well. He is definitely a work aholic, but it was so nice to see him slowly start to realize the benefits of taking a break.

These two were on fire and I was rooting for them the whole book. I was sad to see it end. Hopefully we get to see more of them in the next book!

I had this one pre-ordered and gleefully started reading it as soon as it hit my kindle.

Louise Bay took us back to London and gave us another delightfully British hero that could be exasperating while being irresistible. Alexander and Violet mastered the art of arguing as foreplay. I think if it hadn't been for the fact that Violet didn't let Alexander walk all over her, these two never would have figured out their relationship.

Violet had issues in the romance department but Alexander discovered he was willing to fight for her when otherwise he might have walked away. Both of them needed that fight in order to get over their pasts and figure out what their future looked like.

This was in between a 3.5 to 4 star rating for me. I really liked it but felt that the characters could have had just a little more depth to them. They did but then they didn’t. I would still recommend reading it.
