The plot of this book really sucked me in. I enjoyed it even more than the first one to begin with, but I felt the last quarter of the book was rushed and I wished there had been a bit more character in that part of the book versus the quick plot driven pace. I felt like the book honestly could have been much longer. Lots of interesting things are happening, but they happen so quickly and I felt it could have been more flushed out. Overall I loved it and picked up the 3rd book right away.
I was a bit let down by this one, unfortunately. I did not care about the characters as much as on the first instalment. I will try to read the third book (and latest, so far) soon, but my expectations are not high this time :(

I would say I don’t care for how the book starts at being 90% finished and then goes back to the beginning, and also you spend a *ton* of time at the casino (aka Sinspire), which I don’t think ultimately panned out to mattering all that much. With that said, once they get on the boat, it’s a great time, and I do like how it all came together.
