I loved the previous two installments, but this one took it to a whole new level. At its heart, The Final Twist is about family. [And I'd just like to point out that I was right, re my earlier prediction about who would be in this book, even if the reality turned out to be even better than I'd expected!] Colter tiptoes the line between finishing his father's mission and seeking revenge, while a series of mysteries lead to an ever growing stack of questions.

Pre-release thoughts:The synopsis only makes me more excited... And it's releasing in May again, my birthday month! [Spoiler to those who haven't read book one and two yet]

The Final Twist delivers the usual Jeffery Deaver twists, turns and compelling storytelling. This one focuses a lot more on Colter Shaw's backstory and personal mission rather than him solving crimes. I enjoyed this fast-paced thriller and will continue with this excellent series. Highly recommend.

I like Deaver and his books but just couldn't connect to this. I guess it's because I didn't realise this was the third book in a trilogy.
I liked the angst between Colt and his Brother but felt the story was lacking in urgency or suspense.
As I say, I like Deaver's style and misdirection, making Colt out as a smart cookie. My slight disappointment, won't put me off reading others he has written. His description of the Avalanche was particularly well done!

Colter Shaw takes on three missions in this excellent third book of the series.
