In the prologue, a cat with mud-streaked fur is given a prophecy that says a silver cat will save him and his friends from Sharptooth, a mountain lion that has been tormenting them.
The six questing cats are now travelling home. They walk through the snowy mountains where they encounter a group of mud-streaked cats who call themselves The Tribe of Rushing Water. The Tribe offers them shelter and food.
The Tribe takes a special interest in Stormfur, thinking that he is the silver cat that will save them and Stormfur grows close to a young she-cat named Brook Where Small Fish Swim, Brook for short.
The questing cats decide to help the Tribe by leading Sharptooth into a trap but Sharptooth shows up befor ethey finish setting the trap.
I will stop there so I don't give away the ending.

The addition of the Tribe cats was interesting. Seeing from Stormfur’s POV was pretty cool.
Some it the story moved a little slow.
Still good overall.
Maybe it’s because I knew what happens to Feathertail.

After reading the first book of series two in the Warriors universe I was a little disappointed that Firestar was not the central point of view for the series, but after finishing Moonrise I have really fallen for all of these new characters. Book 1 was from Brambleclaw’s perspective mostly and Book 2 was from Stormfur. I am hopeful that the rest of the series will rotate perspectives from each of the StarClan quested cats. I am impressed 8 books into this series that Erin Hunter continues to raise the stakes in the forest and keep things feeling fresh.

The Boo's review (8) This is a continuation of a series that is about 6 cats on a mission to save their clans. On their adventure they meet a new group of cats that are a tribe. This is a very sad part of the book because one of the cats dies saving the other cats. Be prepared for the sad but know that it is COMPLETELY worth reading the book and the whole series. My favorite part was when the clan cats became friends with the tribe cats and they helped each other.
