This book is to his day one of the most novel, intriguing, enthralling middle-grade mystery/thriller I have yet to read. I read it when I was about 10 or 11, and it still holds a special place in my heart. I still hope this will one day be discovered by a producer and made into a movie with Hugo vibes.

Ivy Sparrow lives an ordinary life with her parents, brother, and granma. Ivy doesn't really think much about how her granma has amnesia from when she was in a car crash and how no one knows about her history before, until the under guards come. The underguards are a police force from a hidden city called Lundinor under London, and they're looking for Ivy's granma Sylvie. Suddenly Ivy is thrust in Lundinor, a world where seemingly ordinary objects have extraordinary powers. Ivy must come against the Dirge, an evil group who hasn't been seen for decades, and they want something from her granma. Ivy must race to save her parents with her brother Seb and figure out what really happened when her granma's car crashed.
Lundinor is a well written and magical place that is like the underground Diagon Alley. Really enjoyed this book!

Jeg er så overrasket! Jeg havde forventet at den mindede lidt for meget om Harry Potter, men jeg må indrømme at der kun er én ting der mindet mig om den serie - navnet mucker, som er denne series ord for almindelige mennesker. Alt andet er helt fantastisk! Den er spændende, sød, sjov og gakkede. Præcis som jeg kan lide det, så meget at jeg allerede har købt 2'eren, så jeg ikke skal vente på fortsættelsen. Fantastisk bog - så læs den.
