It's really good, I just don't like serial killer stories that much and I was also personally triggered by Barak's behaviour towards Tamasin. Treat her like a person for god's sake.

The Shardlake series is great and this book is no exception. What Sansom does so well is blend excellent crime fiction with believable and evocative historical fiction. I have the next one, Heartstone, on my shelf back home and am looking forward to seeing what the Hunchbacked lawyer's next adventure will bring.
