Packs a decent amount within the very short page total and it all kind of works? A horribly disturbing yet fun story that I pray never gets adapted to any visual medium.

This one is definitely a mind fk. So I guess the government or powers that be decided that Americans are too far and now everyone is only allowed 2000 calories a day. They put them on a card and you cannot buy anything unless you have enough calories to cover it. Well this woman has a super high metabolism so 2000 just isn’t cutting it. She decides that wasps will help with hunger pains so she eats them like candy and since she has a hive in her walls, she’s has all she can eat. Now idk why the eating of the wasps grosses me out more than the bike but it just does. Lol Yes the bike thing is gross and extremely odd, I mean who would do that to themselves but I guess everyone has their thing. Lol When it finished on her, I laughed. And then it’s not just an exercise bike but people are turning themselves into other household furniture/appliances? This is a very out there story and I’m here for it.

This is my third read by Carlton Mellick III. It was very disturbing, as usual, but I didn't care for this one as much as I did the others. One of the things that threw me off was that it didn't have a lot of the humor that his other books had. Additionally, some of the scenes in here were downright gross.

This is my fourth CM3. I love the social commentary in each book and the extreme nature of the stories. This one is no different. It's a quick read and 100% original. I am gradually collecting Mellick's books because I love the covers. (I actually prefer e-books but some books are just meant to be collected in physical form.) Fun read - solid 3.5 rounded up/
