This book was everything. The concept of this book was so well executed, the way the author made me feel/care/ hate for these characters was truly something. This book is truly worth the read, every character is so well written and thought out. The steady build-up of tensions between the characters, the alliances, friendships, and secrets were just AMAZING.
This book deserves all the hype, and I am excited to get me hands on the sequel.

I really enjoyed all the different voice actors in the audiobook. If you like magical realism this is a great book for you.... Very mysterious love the different powers. Would recommend
The plot is going no where and Tristian and Callum are too similar in character to really be separate
The writing is good, but you’re there for vibe not the plot. Premise is intriguing but, as someone brilliantly put it, not well executed. AT ALL.

i really struggled with this book. i felt like this book really tried to make the characters dimensional but it felt so forced and character connections felt unnatural and rushed yet the whole book was painstakingly slow. i found myself getting bored at many points but also left me gagged at other points. it was written fabulously but it felt like a first draft that was not approved. i think the pacing was totally off... nothing happens at the middle (or start) of the book and everything is rushed into the final chapters as the plot twists. clever concept, mid execution.
