I was really hopeful for this book. It is written like a documentary.. but it was so boring and the main character won't stop talking about himself and his life and how the murders impact him and I just didn't care.

i thought this book was pretty basic for a thriller. it didn’t exactly keep me on the edge of my seat, but it didn’t thoroughly bore me, either. it’s more of a 2.75-leaning towards a 3 star-rating.

I have a lot of mixed feelings because on one hand it was very gripping and I felt compelled to the story and then other times I felt like I was forcing myself to get through some of the parts. I was pleasantly surprised about the narrative being the author himself and I’m curious to read other books told in this way in a fictional sense. It’s not quite a 4 cause I could pretty much predict the killer and I wanted more interviews but I understand why it was written in the way it was.
