This was fine. I don’t have strong opinions either way. It was a book and I read it. The romance was fine, the intrigue was fine and the writing was fine. I didn’t know what to expect going into it and didn’t know what to make of it once I was done… not bad but also not the greatest.

This kept me interest but I figured out a lot of things. Still it’s fun to change it up with a suspenseful read once and a awhile and Sandra Brown is good for them with just enough romance to keep me happy.

There was probably something good about this story but it got lost in all of Brynn's "huskiness." Seriously, if I had to read that word one more time, I'd puke. It was a quick read (and for that I'm grateful), but this was clearly not the book I should've chosen to begin reading Sandra Brown. The main point I took away from this book is that Brown was HORNY AS HELL when she wrote this. Somewhere in the mix, a little girl was dying of cancer.

Well, this wasn't my favorite Sandra Brown book but I did like it. As per usual, this was a fast-paced and compelling read. I just wasn't crazy about either of the main characters; I didn't dislike them but I wasn't overly rooting for them either. The "twist" at the end (prior to the epilogue) was good and maybe my favorite part of the story.
Hopefully the next book from Sandra Brown will have a story line I find a bit more exciting.
