GREEN-EYED MONSTER was a fun and cute read and I liked the combination of paranormal creatures and mundane college life. Due to page length the world building is pretty sparse but I didn't mind that. Solandis and Hyrak were both really great characters; Solandis is earthy and compassionate and I appreciated that she enjoys sex and isn't afraid to ask for what she wants. Hyrak was a half-orc getting his business degree and I about died once I realized that he wore glasses. I am here for nerdy orcs! A fluffy paranormal romance that you can read in one sitting.

This is so cute. It’s very short and basically a meet cute, get together and happy ending. It’s very easy and sweet and takes no time to finish

Squee!!! This novella was so! fricking! adorable!

A modern fantasy romance about an orc and a forest faerie in college.

They meet, crush on each other HARD, and get together. Super low angst, but also the cutest thing ever.

World building wise, it’s just a quick preview into the series universe, and I’m looking forward to reading the full length books!

Adorbs.
This was a super cute, super quick short read about an Orc and a Fae who meet in university. Even though it has paranormal elements this reads like contemporary NA, with zero angst and tonnes of fluff. This is what Orc reads are supposed to be, pure brain candy with a golden retriever hero who sometimes goes Rottweiler for his lady.
This is free on the author’s website and is part of a larger series, where I imagine most of the world building is done. But this can be stand alone if you aren’t too concerned about why or how or where these characters exist. Gives off Nascosta vibes minus her crazy horniness, there is spice but it doesn’t dominate all the inner thoughts. Overall just sunshine happy feelings, no thinking required.

*update* this is free on author’s website and actually only 23 pages. Hopefully it’s the same version, the font is small. Props to Elizabeth for saving me three whole Canadian bucks!

nothing better than a sweet, adorable, handsome, hot, nerdy orc who liked to cook and grew plants in his little garden

The perfect mix of sweet & sexy and humor & sternness, I’m really excited to see Hyrak and Solandis throughout the rest of Elsie’s books!

When I finished this, I knew I absolutely needed to read everything Elsie Winters has written.

Super fun read, I was sad when it was over. Now I just have to wait for the full-length novel by the author.
