Great great book. Until the last 1/8.
Are there survival books that don't end in a deus ex machina magical rescue a la Hatchet?

I liked it until I didn't.

This BOOK. A stunning work of narrative verse, with tension from the very beginning that never quite lets go. I found myself rooting for the character from the start, and enjoyed the survival aspects of the story that I loved when I was a kid reading My Side of the Mountain.
