Stella is just wanting to have a fun time and runs into a guy named Hudson. They both have a past. There are a few twists and turns that you don't see coming and secrets come to light. A very delightful read.

Any hopeless romantic will tell you a first meeting (meet cute) can make a story. It can be the pivotal moment or a meh "wait...how did they meet again". Vi Keeland gives us an unforgettable start in The Invitation. But it doesn't stop there. An unusual hobby. a unique profession, and uncanny coincidences make this novel one to hold dear. Dear Diary, Today I fell in love again with Vi Keeland, Sebastian York, and Andi Arndt. Please don't let them leave me behind. . I loved the tension, the fight of the pull and the smoking hot chemistry. Wish me luck and sweet dreams of Hudson. I know that with that beginning and this ending. the sky is the limit.

I absolutely love this love story. I love the way the book was written, you get hot scenes as well, but I love this book has more to it than just sex scene. Love it and will probably read it a second time this year. There are too many things I’d like to say about it but I dont want to spoil anything. Just go ahead and read it yourself and enjoy it!

Vi Keeland delivers another fantastic contemporary romance with The Invitation. I couldn’t put this one down! From start to finish, I had a great time reading this book. I have loved Vi’s books since I first read one, and she has never let me down.

Hudson and Stella were great characters. I was invested in both of them right away. The way they met had me hooked from the very first page, and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. They were so good together, and I loved seeing how things grew and changed for them. They had such strong chemistry and seeing their connection grow was what kept me captivated. I adored Hudson’s daughter too. His love and commitment to being a good dad to her was so natural and sweet that you couldn’t help but fall for him right along with Stella.

Overall, I highly recommend this one! It was exactly the escape I was looking for with all the crazy going on in the world and I think readers are going to love this one just as much as I did. If you are already a fan of Vi’s this is another must read, and if you are new to her this is definitely worth taking the chance on!

"You know, I think we should probably give in. We don't stand a chance if the whole world is conspiring."

2.5. i don't know if i've said this before but i love vi keeland's references to fate/a higher power bringing her characters together. it's not especially beautiful in this book (i personally loved it in happily letter after and hate notes) but they do talk about it at the end and i really liked it

Okay, so any book out there that Sebastian York is narrating in.. well, I want it. I don't care what the rating of the book is or if it's even mildly entertaining. I just want to listen to his voice. No matter what.

That being said, once I found out that he was in The Invitation.. well it was a no brainer to dive into it. So in other words, this book was entertaining from start to finish. Yeah, it follows the same formula that we are used to when it comes to books written by Vi. But I think that's why they are just so freaking easy to devour. Plus, it helps the people who were pieces of shits.. stayed in character throughout the book.

Then there's the actual characters. I loved Hudson and Stella. Plus Charlie was freaking adorable and she was way too easy to fall in love with. So when it came to these three doing anything - I was there for it all. Honestly, the whole thing with bananas just made me laugh and smile. They were just way too cute.

In the end, this was just way too adorable and I loved that these three are finally getting a HEA.
