I had a conversation with a friend recently that led to me realizing that I still had never read this classic. So, I picked it up and read it. I can see why it's such a big deal. I love pieces of literature that address ideas of the American Dream, ownership, family, and failure. I would need to read it a few more times before I could do the full English teacher treatment, but my first time through was certainly worth it. I hope to teach it someday so I have to pick it apart more than I did this past time. :)
