I did like the storyline, and the main characters were funny, crazy, and I honestly fell in love with all of them for their uniqueness, but I highly recommend not listening to it on audiobook. I got used to it after a while, but it really detracts from the story. It was also really long, and I felt it could have been shorter, but I again did love all of them and the story. It was really good and I am glad I listened.

It was great. Where I stopped at about 75% of the book done I thought was turning for the worst and set it down for a while. I do not regret picking it back up. It was amazing. I truly loved reading it. It was dark for sure. Loved the amount of knife play. Truly my favorite. She’s a great author.

Didn’t find the plot… but I also didn’t go into it expecting to have much of a storyline.

I feel like an ass for saying this, but if I never have to hear those accents again…I’d be fine. The whole time I kept picturing Smee from Peter Pan—and let’s be real, he’s not exactly my idea of sexy.

Also, never thought I’d catch myself saying “AGAIN?!” when they started going at it for the umpteenth time. Am I actually a girl who likes plot more than smut? Shocking.

I love a good why-choose romance—it’s usually top-shelf smut for me—but this one lacked creativity. I was expecting Pucking Around levels of MMMMF chaos, but instead got the occasional MMF and mostly MF. With how often they played together, I was honestly waiting for a breeding kink to pop up. It was the only thing not popping up. 💁‍♂️

Overall? It was fine. Not mad I read it.
