I read this for university, and I am so glad I did!

This was a great play to read. The characters were well-written and so were their emotions. You understood why they acted the way they did, said the things they said, thought the things they thought.

I definitely recommend!

I absolutely loved this book. I adored the characters so much and throughout the story my only hope was for them to have a happy ending.
The resolution was perfect. Despite losing the money, they stick together and find happiness and strength in each other.

I don't read a lot of plays, but I really enjoyed this way. It is really intense and emotional and sad, but also really funny! Funny in that dark way, in that self-reflective way. Walter pissed me off, and as a black woman, it was interesting and all too real to read into the race and gender politics at play between him and the women in his life, Mama, Ruth, and Beneatha.
