I spent a lot of this book feeling around in the dark wondering what was going on... the ending made it all worth the read and I 100% believe I will get more out of this on a reread someday. Very engaging, odd, and worthwhile.

I’m trying get better at DNFing rather than persevering through the end of a book.
This was a short book so I could have finished it, and while I was drawn to it because of the fascism critique and the clever time jumps, the constant repetition of the characters’ traits, “crème de la crème” and “prime” was very disruptive and annoying. 40 pages was enough.
