THE F.
It's the second book I've ever given a one star and the only one starred book (so far) that I've finished. I'm usually calm at my reviews even if I don't really like the book that much and I'll try my best to be calm and reasonable as possible. And well, no it didn't really meet my expectations so uhh..
Okay I initially liked Ever and the first book which was Evermore. She was capable of making her own damn decisions at the first book even when she already met the "love of all her lives" Damen. I mean I thought that Blue Moon had a bad ending and it really did set me off but this one was even worse. She's still reckless and not to mention 'stupid' as ever that sometimes you just want to go inside their world just to put some sense into this girl. It's like she haven't learned anything from her past mistakes. And I know she's human after all and are capable of impulsive, reckless and not to mention stupid decisions especially at some points if her loved ones are the ones who are at risk, but come on, at least learn from your past mistakes!
And what set me off even more is that at some point in the book, she was so full of herself...
REALLY? --REALLY?<(`^´)>
Thinking that she's an immortal and she's so powerful and all and since she did the spell which I didn't really understand in the first place thinking that nothing could go wrong.. well think again girl! You should have listen more to the people around you. Especially to the people who actually knows what they're talking about, like i don't know, the twins for example. They maybe young looking but they sure as hell knows what the hell they're talking about and they do know a lot more about this so called "magick" better than you do Ever.
On other notes that aren't really related to the Immortal Series, while reading this book, I can't help but collide the same names from other books that I've read.
Damen August (lead male protagonist)
-Damen Dylan from ghostgirl
-Augustus Waters from TFiOS
Buttercup (Yellow Labrador; Family Pet/Dog)
-Buttercup from The Hunger Games;Prim's Cat
Amsterdam (the one Damen manifested)
-Amsterdam; where Hazel and Gus went to meet their favorite Author, Peter Van Houten
ps.
I did love this series but this book just doesn't have a really good standing for me. Although I do love that there's a little twist in the story with Jude being in the picture and having an interesting love triangle and all but I guess that's it. All Ever wanted was you know, to have sex with Damen and be one with each other instead of it being the other way around.
Oh the YA books nowadays.
Well, I guess I better find out what happens next, although I'm sure they'll live happilly ever after but what the heck. I'm still gonna read it anyway hoping I'll still survive after reading this series.

I read the two earlier books in this series and really enjoyed both Evermore and Blue Moon. Shadowland continues some of the traits that are so cool about this series—the character's past lives and how they're all destined to be intertwined again and again. What frustrated me a little, is that I felt as though the core issue, Damien's need for an antidote, should have been wrapped up with this book. So while I liked the story a lot, especially learning about Jude and the conflict over Haven, I think I would have liked some closure on the core conflict. Bottom line: Definitely a cool world to immerse yourself in.

Me, picking up a megaphone: just let them die!!!!
Random reader of this review: uhhhh....what? Who? Let who die??
Me, waving my hand around vaguely before speaking into the megaphone once more: doesn’t matter. Any of them. All of them. It literally does not matter.
And that’s it folks, that’s the review.

Enjoyed this series, though haven't re-read recently.

Love this series, i read it back in high school. Ever and Damiens adventures get more serious in the third installment of the immortals series. Will they get to be together? Will they be free from the evil immortals?

I love this series and Alyson Noel is my favorite author but with this series I'm kinda wishing that they would end all ready. They're still good books but I feel there a little dragged out in some places. Although I fell that they kinda need to be dragged out just to make it a little more clear in areas.
It was an okay book. But I honestly gotta say, that I am getting bored that Ever is always doing those "big mistakes". When is it time for her to be happy or to do something the right way.
Even that I gotta say, that I think there's nothing wrong with her last decision, but it still hard for her.
