I listened to this book and the narrators did an amazing job. My favourite narrator was the third one who represented Mirabel who was able to add an echo to imitate an audio recorded voice.
The story was very interesting reminding me of Erin Brockovich. I enjoyed the aspect of teenagers influencing their town. I did feel there was unnecessary language or scenes in this book and I would have enjoyed the story more had this been eliminated. The story line was well done and I did enjoy the ending. Great job on the audiobook production.

Happy Disability Awareness Month! I loved this look into the lives of triplets with a variety of abilities and disabilities created by dangerous run off from a local factory. A depressing look into environmental problems and disability activism!

This is one of my all time favorite novels. I love the cast which includes multiple disabled characters.

In the small, fictional town of Bourne life has been stagnant for 17 years. That’s when the chemical company that dumped poison into the land and water shut down and left town. Many of the residents died and those who didn’t bore children with severe birth defects and/or on the spectrum. Three of these children, triplets, although impaired are brilliant. When the company threatens to come back and resume operation, the triplets find a way to permanently closed them down.

Laurie Frankel has really made me fall in love with family fiction. If you enjoyed This is How It Always Is, you will really be charmed by this book as well. I love the way she gave each of these triplets their unique and charming perspectives in alternating chapters. The dialogue was humorous and touching as they take on a large corporation in their small town. These are three heroines that I will hold deep in my heart. Truly brilliant writing, unique characters and poignant plot.
