Boundless was a thrilling end to the Unearthly trilogy.
Our group of angel-bloods finally facing off all their destinies at once and coming to terms with what their purposes truly were.
I have to admit that Hallowed made me a little sceptical that anything would happen in Boundless. Hallowed felt like filler content, just driving us to the next essential plot points. This was not the case for Boundless, which answered not only the questions we had from Unearthly, but filled in all the gaps that Hallowed left.
I will say that it wasn't as good as Unearthly, with moments that felt predictable and others that were completely whiplashing. I was never truly sure of assumptions because of this.
Clara's boy troubles were seemingly over and decided by fate, but her feelings for Tucker didn't fade at all, causing more trouble for her than what it was worth. I enjoyed how Clara's relationships were handled. I enjoyed how both Tucker and Christian never had set roles as the lead or second love interest, they flipped between each role easily.
Clara's friendships and relationships outside of Angel Club and Tucker truly saw the back bench in Boundless, all the praise I had for the friendships being solid in Unearthly tarnished.
The story was well thought out and intriguing. Hallowed was my least favourite of the trilogy, however it did pull everything together reasonably well.
Overall, this was series was a nostalgic read for me. I highly recommend it if you enjoy Fallen or any of the 2010s vampire/angel type YA romances.
