Mark Edwards is definitely one of my top favorite authors. I love how his books take you by complete surprise throughout but especially at the end.
The Retreat is about a few different authors staying at a writers retreat when during their stay strange thing begin to occur. The owner of the retreat is still mourning the death of her husband and disappearance of her daughter, Lily. Could the strange things happening be connected to Lily’s disappearance or is it just an old house settling?
I absolutely loved this book! From the multiple possible culprits throughout the book and the huge twist at the end it was definitely my kind of thriller! I love to a good twist at the end to leave you wondering how you didn’t see that one coming.
If you have not read any of Mark Edwards books I highly encourage you to do so!
