An easy and generally enjoyable read. Emilia can be quite annoying and dense a lot of the time. Gooood ending though, definitely makes me want to pick up the next book right away.

Overall I loved this book
The only reason it wasn't a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me is because it was really heavy on the miscommunication trope - tbf it's mixed in with some other factors/ sets up the crescendo of the story but it weighs down the writing as it impacts almost every scene

The plot does advance somewhat but good grief does Emilia make it hard. She's keeping all her cards close to the vest...the problem is she's in a place she knows NOTHING about. Granted it's been indicated several times that he can't tell her certain things but he has also said of she talked to him he'd help her and of course she does everything the hard way
