After waiting five years for his next book, I was a little skeptical that And the Mountains Echoed would not live up to my expectations. However, I am even more enchanted with Hosseini as an author than before! ATME does NOT disappoint!!!

Hosseini is a great storyteller, you can’t tell me otherwise. This is my second book of Hosseini’s works. The building of narrative writing contains within the story is powerful, even in rich characters. I admire him so much.

Yenə Əfqanıstanda müharibə, bir az fəqli stildə anlatmağa çalışsa belə. Yazıçının "Çərpələng uçuran" və "Min möhtəşəm günəş" əsərlərini oxuduqdan sonra bunu da oxumalıyam deyə düşünmüşdüm. Doğrudur, yazıçının yazı üslubu, əsərin axıcı dili olduğu kimi də qalır, lakin bu əsər digər ikisi ilə müqayisədə məni bir az məyus etdi doğrusu. Məncə, əsər çox insan talelərini təhkiyə etməyə çalışır, bu isə qarışıqlığa, yarımçıqlığa gətirib çıxarır, belə ki bəzilərini undursan belə, hansı ki mən bunu əsərdə ilk olaraq faciəvi tale ilə üzləşən qardaş və bacı- Pəri və Abdulla barədə yaşadım.

I don't know how he always does it, but this author's storytelling ability is off the charts. Love meeting each and every character and seeing how they're connected. All. The. Feels.

I don't know how to rate this one!

It isn't bad but I was bored halfway through. Every time I get attached to a character the story ends and moves on to a completely different character and context. Maybe because the stories were so good and I was upset that they just end and the author completely begins a new thing. It is all over the place. Maybe I should've know ahead of time that it is more like a collection of short stories and maybe I shouldn't have expected something like his first two novels. It is certainly different and maybe later I would realize that it was good but not for now.
