I just do not care for Kenji... I also thought this series would have more action relevant to the plot considering there are so many books but it seems I've been duped. I become less and less impressed with series.

Okay I liked it, but I don’t usually enjoy novellas so I’m rating it lower. I don’t think it added much to the overall story except spoilers -> the pills, castles family(?), and some other romances I don’t particularly care about. However I really like Kenji. I want him to be happy and hearing his inner monologue makes me sad he’s not happy. He always seems happy so it was nice to add some character depth
