Wow I loved this! Adriana Herrera has such a gift for weaving deep, beautiful romance with real life struggles on things like ethnicity, class, family, etc. I am a FAN and plan to work my way through this entire series and anything else she writes.

Camilo Santiago Briggs doesn't believe in fairy tales. He believes in working hard and making things happen for yourself, a lesson he's learned from his mother and from his career as a New York City social worker.

So when Milo finds out the mystery man he shared the hottest hookup of his life with is in fact billionaire Thomas Hughes, and is in fact going to be funding the project Milo's in charge of at his non-profit job, he is completely skeptical. Knights in shining armor don't exist, and hot men in expensive tuxes who seem to good to be true are exactly that.

But Tom is going to show Milo just how real fairy tales can actually be.

Hot, hot, hot, and so incredibly swoony! I ate up every word of this delicious big city contemporary. I especially love a romance that sees the two main characters hooking up in the first chapters, then fighting their feelings for each other and trying to resist doing it again! Good luck!

Herrera is a talent to watch and her Dreamers series is A+ romance at its finest!

Content warning for discussion of domestic violence, but nothing is on page.

I received a free ARC in exchange for a fair review. Thank you!

Finished American Fairytale by @ladriana_herrera It is out May 20th and I am all squee. (m/m, contemp, Latinx)

I really liked American Dreamer but I adore this one!
Loved the friendships, the themes about letting someone see all of you & respecting boundaries.

I continue to love the diversity of Latinx rep. The tension!! All the happy book sighs! #latinxrom

I keep loving this series. I love the characters; I love Milo and his family, I love his strength and his love, and his compromise to make the world a bit better.

And I love Tom, even when he keeps making mistakes, keep confusing love with 'fixing' everything for the loved one. It's frustrating, yes, and you'll get angry. but you'll also understand that his actions, albeit misguided, are born of love and compassion.

This is, indeed, a fairy-tale, but one that discusses a lot of hard issues given Milo's work and both, Milo and Tom's family's history. And it feels real, even with the 'charming prince' with lots and lots of money :P

And I'm still loving Sean Crisden's narration. Shee's I hope the third book is already out as an audiobook!
