I devoured this book. It’s rare for me to become an instant fan of an author but I’ll read anything Lark has to give. This was like sinking into a hot bath in winter after a long day. Comforting and sensual in a way that is addictive. I liked how the characters were aware of their own flaws and we got to see them imperfectly accounting for them. I love that we were given plenty of time for joy amongst the conflict. I liked that the plus size character was not the only one with body issues.
Maybe I’ll come back and write more but I’m so tired from staying up late two nights in a row to finish this which is as high a complement as I can personally offer.
Moderate: Stalking, Kidnapping, and Emotional abuse

I loved Grace, and all her gargoyle hotties. Grace’s relationships with each gargoyle progressed both individually and holistically. Their relationships developed and weaved together in such a delightful, beautiful, and steamy way! I loved all the characters individually and together. This book had a lovely depiction of a healthy poly relationship and I’ve never seen that represented so well before. I absolutely loved this book!
Moderate: Fatphobia, Kidnapping, and Sexual harassment

Grace is tired of the scheming of her witch family. She's low contact with them, but it hasn't stopped them from encouraging her to lose weight, marry a witch from a "good" family, and come home to be a wife. But when she approaches Rose Love at the Love Bathhouse to hopefully find a match, Grace never expects to be thrown into a relationship with one gargoyle - let alone three.
Sometimes - listen - sometimes the body needs a reverse harem gargoyle smut. It's like blowing air into a Nintendo gameboy cartridge, it definitely helps. It resets something. At least that's what I'm going to say and we're all just going to accept it. I loved this. I've devoured the other books in the Monstrous Matches series (WEREWOLF IS NEXT!!!) and I just really adore the world that Lillian Lark has created. It's so rich and full of so many interesting characters and people. I'm a sucker for anything that involves a slightly dramatic third act (and this delivers) and I just really feel like Lark did a wonderful job balancing the way Grace fell slowly in love with our three gargoyles.
Now... That being said. Broderick could get it. It's no surprise the slightly unhinged artist type is my favorite, at this point I am transparent. I did love Elliot and Alasdair - but wow. I'm so excited to dive into the next novella in this series and then Emilia's book after! These have been great binge reads on my phone, I literally couldn't put this one down.
