This is a really warm hearted, emotional romance that felt mature and had satisfying character growth.
I really loved the pace of the romance and the story.
Weston Madigan has stayed away from his family and their ski resort for years. He has a lot of pain and resentment attached to his family.
His older brother calls and says he needs him to come home and help the business, Weston is so loyal when it comes to his family “needing” him so he begrudgingly agrees.
Callie is a single mom who works for the Madigan ski resort as a photographer. She’s a great character, she’s strong, independent and caring.
Her daughter Sutton is a spitfire and she’s a great part of the story. I love her, she adds great fun and heartwarming scenes.
Weston ends up as their roommate as there is nowhere else to stay that works for him.
He’s determined not to open his heart to people, he’s been hurt so deeply that he keeps his emotional distance.
Sutton and Callie wear down those walls slowly but surely.
He’s a really natural caretaker, he’s a man with a big heart, great humor and intelligence.
I loved all of these characters so much.
The emotional aspect was perfect, the humor was great and the chemistry was slow burn and then ignited to hot inferno levels.
It’s a story that explores the characters struggles opening up emotionally, figuring out what actually makes them happy and it’s about adjusting your goals as you mature. Life doesn’t play out the way they expect and that takes mental and emotional adjustment.
I really enjoyed this heartfelt and entertaining story so much.
I love the characters and their beautiful journey.

I loved this one, I loved the relationship and how the struggles seemed authentic. I really appreciated how Sutton brought everything together in her own way and just like loved it.

Book 2 of the Madigan Mountain Series did not disappoint!

Weston Madigan is the middle Madigan who has also been away from the Madigan Resort for over a decade. However when Reed called him and told him that he needed his help with the expansion of the resort Weston dropped everything to go where he was needed. When their mother got sick and eventually passed away when Weston was 16 he took the roll of grownup and guardian for the youngest Madigan, Crew while Reed escaped to college. That is a lot for a kid to handle and Weston wasn’t that excited to go back to his hometown, and then to discover he would be living with Callie and her daughter Sutton did not help.

Callie has been the photographer for the Madigan Resort for 11 years, when she showed up pregnant in need of a job that Weston gave her before he left the very next day. She also dealt with loss and struggle at a young age but has been able to work through it and she is perfect for Weston since she can help him see that what happened years ago was horrible and tragic but it’s okay to move on.

Weston was the perfect grump who was only ever happy around Callie and Sutton. He needed them to start living again. Callie needed Weston to find her new dream career and help her see that Sutton deserved to be a little reckless.

This series is absolutely perfect and now off to read Crew’s story!!

three stars! ⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ this was incredibly cute and i absolutely adored the single parent trope in this!

the romance had the perfect amount of slowburn and tension to it, and when callie and weston finally got together it was just all around so good. the story itself felt a little lackluster, and by 70% i definitely was ready to be done lmao it dragged on just a smidge too much for me.

definitely kept with the hallmark christmas vibes, and while i’m not entirely interested in crew as a brother i’m still stoked to read it!
