This wasn't bad. It was okay. I would label this "a slice of life" setting, getting to see normalcy.

I honestly loved this. Very different feel from the previous books in the series, but it was so lovely to see the everyday life of Feyre, Rhys, Cassian, and Nesta. I loved Feyre's struggles with trying to do enough for her people, especially leading up to the Winter Solstice. I read this around Christmastime and reading about the Inner Circle picking out gifts for each other was JUST the sort of vibe I was looking for.

I want to drunk decorate with Feyre and Cassian.

Rating: 5 stars

A holiday novella, A Court of Frost and Starlight follows Feyreā€™s first Winter Solstice as
High Lady of the Night Court
.

This one is a bit controversial, but hereā€™s my hot take. Anyone who says this isnā€™t a required read is WRONG and I will die on this hill. For me, it reads like an extended epilogue to ACOWAR, in the absolute best way, including a ton of set-up for events to come in A Court of Silver Flames. Plus, who doesnā€™t love a fluffy holiday romance?

CW: Grief, eating disorder, mental illness, alcoholism

Short read but it makes for a great way to tie off the last book, going over the things the characters need to do in order to move on with their lives and start building peace in the world. I truly admire how Sarah J. Maas doesn't just end the series with a "happily ever after" just because the war ends- she's diving into more world building, world healing, and giving us a new perspective by giving us POVs from other main characters and their struggles. I truly feel like I'm a part of this world when I'm reading these books, and now that this one is finished, I plan to re-read the others.

This is so cute ā¤ļø Itā€™s basically a Christmas novella from all POVā€™s šŸ˜Š this was such an adorable, homey, happy, wholesome story that I gobbled in one day.
