A beautiful story about welcoming a new neighbor, coming together as a community, and making connections. The clay illustrations are mesmerizing.

What a beautiful story show that "we are better together" (author's note) and how communities can come together to lift each other up and help us feel safe.
The polymer clay art was also pretty amazing!
Thank you Pajama Press.

This beautifully illustrated book is about living together in a community. This is a community where everyone has space to bring parts of their history from other places to a new place.

Wow! There are so many good things going on here. I'm so impressed with how the author created depth in the clay illustrations, and I was riveted by the story. This would be a great storytime read, if it was condensed. PLAY, vocabulary, phonological awareness

Moe helps Sami, a boy from Syria, feel welcome in the neighborhood, and they bond over their shared love of birds. The artwork in this book is something new to me - it's all photographs of clay art, masterfully detailed. Very cool!
