Couldn't develop any sort of feeling for the protagonist Campion.

A tidy little mystery which touches on the Superstitions of the English Countryside. Very Campion, and shows his wounded ego after the events of Myster Mile.

Ancient treasures, ghosts, and mystery. I'm starting to enjoy this series. The first book I plodded through. Barely. The second one was a little better. This one-a bit more. I'm glad I decided to stuck it out with the series. In this one the plot was interesting (a little on the crazy side again, but interesting), Campion and his sidekick are better developed, and the story was just fun to read. It gave me hope for the next books in the series. I cannot wait to see who Campion really is, that is if the author decides to share that with the readers at some point.

More a thriller than a murder mystery, this really shows the twisty mysterious nature of Albert Campion. By this point - book three in the series - he's moved beyond being a Peter Wimsey parody into being his own man.

In this he is trying to stop a priceless relic from being stolen by ruthless thieves working on behalf of shadowy collectors. In the process he reunites an estranged father and son and ends up dashing around Suffolk as artifacts and people go missing - and a body turns up.

If you like Peter Wimsey and similar stories - this will work for you. But it will also work for fans of John Buchan or even more modern thriller capers like Fox and O'Hare.

By far my favourite Campion and I think I am going to enjoy some of the future stories.
