Wow! It took me a long time to come back to this, but it is great. I love that the main characters are all older women receiving their due justice. I think it's a textbook study in IPV, Indian misogyny, and revenge. Powerful and lovely.

I really enjoyed this book, it's witty quick and I was transported to the world and village of Geeta. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would love to read more about these women. I wish it was a film too, as it would be so good to see some of the hilarious scenes played out. There's a lot of violence towards women in this book which at times is hard but the contrast with the humour is deftly done.

This is one of those books that once you are in, you are so in and can’t stop reading! I loved my time with these women, cheering them on and fuming with outrage on their behalf! Brilliantly written, full of twists, some heavy subject matter, and the exact right amount of humor (a lot of it dark) to add some levity and truly had me laughing out loud!
