Like the first in the series, a quick entertaining read for mystery/thriller fans. Still not great but a bit more character development than the last one. Good enough to keep you hooked when you're looking for a quick escape.

The writing is terrible. There are spelling errors and punctuation mistakes. The plot is thin.
I'll probably read the third just to see how it ends, but will not be reading any more Storm books.

Its obviously still quite heavy on the cia / russia plot so a lot of this felt like heavy exposition but the scenes between storm and showers (why have i only just clocked theyre both named after weather?) are fun!

What a story! The collection of Derrick Storm novellas is a great story over all. The first book, [b:A Brewing Storm|13622966|A Brewing Storm (Derrick Storm, #1)|Richard Castle|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1335538696s/13622966.jpg|19226603],brings back Derrick Storm from the dead to investigate the kidnapping of a senator’s Son. This one picks up right where the last one leaves off as if you were just turning the page. In this book Storm is on his way to London to question the Man who is a “person of interest”.

It started out kind of slow because we were getting to know more characters in this story, which is broken into 3 parts. It is also the standard what happens in between big events that would normally be the middle of a standard novel. Of course the reader should expect a big cliffhanger ending and I was not disappointed. The ending of this novella was so action packed and fast paced I couldn’t look away. The events were predictable but it was written so well I was hooked even though I expected just this situation. I can’t wait for the next novella to be released next month and hope it is as good as this one. For anyone looking for a good spy story I highly recommend this novella series. They have been well written and just fun quick reads. You don’t have to be a fan of the show Castle to enjoy this, but it does help.

This was a typical middle novel in a trilogy -- it offered minimal resolution and left you hanging at the end. There was a bit too much exposition for my taste, especially at the beginning, and the characters could use more development. I'll read the third one to find out what happened.

Didn't do a whole lot for me. Too much "middle installment" to justify having it as its own book. I wish there was a complete set or a printed version of all 3 novellas. As it is, I probably won't read the 3rd one (despite the cliffhanger) because I can't get it for free....and as much as I love [a:Richard Castle|1953433|Richard Castle|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1326003545p2/1953433.jpg], I don't think I'd pay to find out how this one ends.

The Derrick Storm novels are a super quick read and truthfully don’t have the best developed plot lines. However, for Castle fans, these are fun and easy reads that make references in the show extremely enjoyable. Going in knowing it’s a tie-in and done by a ghost writer for the sake of fans, I was not disappointed at all. It’s obviously not a New York Best Seller but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a good read!
