disappointed in this book, was really hard to finish. these characters and world deserve more purposeful writing, felt very elementary and mid. only heart good things about this series but it did not help me to get out of my reading rut. tbd on if I read the 3rd book :/

The plot is super slow for how long the book is and the main characters relationship is boring now that they are together. Every two sentences is them professing their love to each other.

Had to drag myself through this one, prob not gonna finish the series. So much unnecessary filler, and somehow like, nothing happened? Or, rather, the same thing happened as last time? Idk man, I skimmed a lot.

I LOVED the first book, no notes. This one is heavier on the spice but is insanely long and so slow moving. I kept trying to hit a groove and finish it as I love the plot and characters, it was too slow moving to hold my attention.
