This was boring. My students didn't understand what was going on and they didn't enjoy the illustrations of this book.

This was a slightly funny ridiculous graphic novel that tells how the camel got his hump...there is nothing great about this but it's a quick read.

The message in the last lines was good, but the story wasn't that compelling.

It's kind of cute, except I think the lesson is skewed. The Camel should not be vilified for refusing to work, rather, exulted for refusing to become a slave to man. Hard work is amiable, but slavery is deplorable. I think the wise Camel knew the difference. Respect. 3/5

I can’t even bring myself to tag it as children’s literature because dear god, just no.

Wowzas! I can't remember a book that started out so delightful and deteriorated into such a mess of Imperialist racism and misogeny. The trouble starts when humans start appearing in the stories. Before that, the stylistic elements and amusing tales are wonderful.
