I had been so looking forward to this book since I read the rest of the series earlier in the year and the first half of the book really lived up to my expectations! But the second half…fell very flat. It’s like there was no climax and there were characters that I didn’t feel I got a good wrap on. I was expecting more of a war and yet any kind of battle ended before it started. It felt like Maniscalco was rushing to give us the ending and it just felt unsatisfying.

wauwwww dit boek! ik vond dit een geweldig einde voor de serie en naarmate ik meer las vond ik de serie steeds leuker. De plottwists over dat Emilia en Vittoria godinnen zijn vond ik echt geweldig. En het feit dat hun hele sterfelijke leven een illusie was??? Ik stond versteld!!
