These books are quickly becoming one of my all time favourite trilogies. :D
I love Clara to no end and I feel like I'm with her every step of the way, watching and cheering her on as she goes through all of her tough struggles.
Plus, I love Tucker

4.5 stars. I have been looking forward to this sequel to "Unearthly" and wasn't disappointed. I'm not a huge fan of love triangles, but this one is pretty well done. I liked learning more about the angel-bloods, but wish we could have seen a little more of some of the secondary characters.
I am so in love with this series! I want it to never end. I can not wait to read Boundless! I have read a lot of YA paranormal/supernatural books and this series is by far my favorite. I even enjoy the love triangle and I think it is because it isn't the typical love triangle and I truly like both male characters. Usually when there is a love triangle all i want to do is roll my eyes and be like jeez pick already and there is always one guy I am rooting for more than the other but with this book that doesn't happen. I am invested in the part of the story but it isn't the main point of the book like it is in so many others (cough cough twilight cough cough). If you are looking for a great read and a book that will keep you up for hours not wanting the book to end then this is definitely the story for you.
took me forever to get into these books but I am glad. also kinda glad I waited until they were all out.
I cried so stinkin' much it's ridiculous! I don't think a normal person would cry this much in this book but I cried.... a lot. Don't ask me why, i just did. Good news, no cliff hanger! (: Was an amazing read, had some twists that weren't bad but it surely made the book interesting. It teaches the reader something and I think it's different for each reader but I'm glad I read it.
I highly recommend this book!!!! (: (:

I would have put this book on my "favorites" shelf on Goodreads, but it wasn't worthy of the position. It was still deliciously good, but not amazingly great. Hallowed continues the story of the first book, where Clara's purpose is still not determined. She has visions occurring during her dreams, but at first she doesn't tell people about it. You get the vision: someone she love will die. It's one of the big revelations here in the book. The story also focuses on Clara's relationship with Christian. The book was a real tearjerker I tell you. After you find out who's going to die, you'll cry buckets of tears. The book's just so emotional and all that.
I really liked the book, everything in it, but the part where Ms. Hand pushed Tucker out of the spotlight and lets Christian take the center stage with Clara. Yes, Tuck isn't Clara's leading man here in the book. That's what I felt. And it didn't do me any good. I was left wanting more, well, more of Tuck. Every scene they have together just makes me so smitten. I melt with their sweetness. They are so good together that I can't even picture Clara and Christian beside each other. I love that Ms. Hand pours me answers to the questions my brain has gathered after the first book. I was simply mind-blown. I was giddy about Clara's parents, and I just can't tell you it's making me go nuts. The book will expand Clara's background I say to you. You'll feel happy that you're going to get some answers to your questions. I also love the new characters in the book. Billy, she's just a sweetheart. (I know, the name's weird.) You'll go gaga over this installment, even if it has flaws.
I recommend this to Unearthly fans, and those of you who have been waiting for a good angel story.

OH. MY. GOSH.
That's all I can say right now.
I'm always a little wary of second books in a series, because what if they end up being the Return of Jafar of the group!? That would be atrocious. Second books/movies sometimes just don't end up doing what they're supposed to do. Luckily, that's not the case here. No sequel slump.
I really, really liked Unearthly and I was anxious to see where the story would go from there. What's going to happen between Christian and Clara? What about Tucker?!
There were a lot of things going on here, things that I never saw coming. I usually pride myself on being able to pick up on 'the twist' well in advance, but I admit...I was blindsided by things in this book. Not in a bad way, just in a surprised way.
I like that Hallowed carries on so well where Unearthly left off. Sometimes a middle book kind of goes off in its own direction and you're left with a 'huh' feeling.
I'm still totally liking the characters. They've developed nicely here, and give more insight into who they are and why. I like the new ones introduced as well. They're cool people!
In fact, everything that I loved about Unearthly carries over into Hallowed.
BUT.
One thing I'm vexed about: WHAT ON EARTH WAS ALL THAT ABOUT TUCKER?!?! WHY?!?!
If you've read the book, you know exactly what I mean. If you haven't, well, you need to start with Unearthly and get going, because you simply MUST know. You need to get to know Tucker so that you can love him too. And wonder WHY!!!!!
In the spirit of awesome second bookedness, I'm giving Hallowed a 'Pick Me' rating for not disappointing at all!

Grace, a girl with angel blood in her veins, has her life changed forever after a vision of a boy in a fire causes her family to move to Wyoming. As she struggles to figure out and fulfill her purpose, Grace learns more about herself and the angelic world. I’ve read several series now involving angels and angelic beings, and this is one of the better ones I’ve read. I enjoyed Hand’s writing style and the main character. The romance was super sweet, but I could have done without the love triangle. It felt forced and unnecessary. The plot was simple and easy to follow and had some interesting twists, though I wouldn’t have minded a bit more action. Overall the series is a solid read. 3/5 stars
É um livro delicioso, que me deixou com o coração apertado por vezes.
Fico ansiosa pelo próximo, para ver como vai ser resolvida a trapalhada toda em que está o coração dela :-)

I didn't enjoy Hallowed quite as much as the first of the series, but it was still a 3.5 for me. The best part of the experience was that my teenage daughter and I read the book within a few days of each other and had fun talking about it. She's for Tucker, while I think Christian is the better choice! We'll both read the next book when it comes out.
