This was just what I needed.
I loved this book, it was fun, crazy and entertaining. Hudson sounds like everyone’s sexy book boyfriend and Gracie is awesome!

Parts of this book were enjoyable. But so much was just cringy. *I love a good smutty book* But this didn't work for me. It was very descriptive, but limited variety on actual sex scenes. Like how many sexual phrases/activities can we pile on this virgin in one singular encounter. It was like a really really bad porno. There was zero emotion written in. A good spicy sex scene should relay the emotions of the characters. Word vomit of unoriginal sexual phrases.
Also Hudson's character development was laid out poorly. His redeeming qualities came in so late. It felt rushed.
Don't get me started on Gracie's family. I mean how many stereotypes can we throw in. It was too much
Gracie's a doormat until the last minute and all of a sudden she's a complete badass. Drag out for 450 pages, then rush everything into the last 50 pages.
Damn me for falling for another booktok ad.

Let's begin with the fact that there is an adorable dog named Pugnog. A star is earned just for this beautiful fact.
This book was just a fun rom-com of insanity. The characters, plot, and spicy scenes were hilarious and overly exaggerated. This book was a fun jaunt into the holiday-romance world and I had a great time. Gracie hires Hudson minutes after meeting him on a bus to pretend to be her boyfriend and destroy her sister's wedding. (Trust me, they deserve it.) Hudson is also not who he seems and is using her for his motives. So begins an insane story in a small Rhode Island town filled with a million Christmas cookies, a cute dog, hockey games, and miniature figurines.
Gracie is the biggest doormat to ever exist. Her fiancee literally sleeps with her sister the night before the wedding and a year later she is still around helping to decorate their wedding. Hudson is a jerk and a liar and I wanted to kick him in the face. Gracie's entire family were spoiled, entitled villains that you want to feed to a hungry pig. There is also a grandma who is massively horny and another with a sword in her cane! Guys, I had a good time. It was seasonal. I feel accomplished.

Very Spicy
Good Christmas read- way spicier than most Christmas rom coms I’ve read. You’ve been warned. I would still recommend it though.

This was such a good book. Gracie is having shit luck. Mainly because she lets everyone walk all over her. Her parents demean her, her fiancé sleeps with her sister the night before their wedding but she puts on a strong face and tried to make people happy until she can’t take anymore. She meets Hudson on the way home for her sister wedding to her ex. Grace decides the best thing to do is get revenge and pay Hudson to be her fake boyfriend. Little did she know Hudson was planted there to get close to her for a mission he’s working. Revenge, corporate espionage, a sassy granny lots of Christmas sport with a heavy does of spice. What’s not to love.
WHAT IN THE WORLD DID I JUST READ! I have never read a FMC that I wanted to slap so hard. Gracie was a total chump, doormat, weakling.
The steamy scenes were hot but sometimes felt too vulgar for this type of book. I felt like one minute the author was trying to do romcom with slight camp, and then all of a sudden, it was filthy, raunchy, vulgar sex. I can absolutely handle romcom with raunchy sex but it has to be done right and there needs to still be some elements of comedic relief but it didn't work in this book at all.
The only reason I'm giving this book two stars is because Grandma Murray was hilarious.

This book was definitely a fun ride. I was rooting the entire time for the MC to get a backbone and let her terrible family really know how she felt. I don't think I have ever read about such a toxic family before. There is a fair amount of spice but I feel like it's pretty equal to the story. I would definitely like to read the sequel in the future.
