It always throws me when the characters do something completely out of character just to move the plot forward.

This book definitely exceeded my expectations. I kind of went in blind to this and it was beyond funny. I laughed more times than I ever have at a book. It was raunchy and also VERY dirty but in the best way possible.. and the amount of characters I enjoyed/loathed or had some sort of feelings towards them were surprising and the book still kept the holiday/festive feeling throughout. This is for sure a MUST READ!

The plot was a little too contrived and over the top for me. Warning: SPOILERS

Gracie’s family was awful and unredeemable and her relationship with Hudson happened too fast. It wasn’t even insta-love;you never see any real affection between the two until the very end. He went from being truly awful to her and embarrassing her to loving her with little to no reason. Their connection was based on the fact they had to have seggz and I’m still not sure why they had to do that as part of their cover story. That was just utterly nonsensical. Hudson’s reasons to sleep with her (stealing her company secrets) was also unforgivable. Everyone used Gracie, and she let them, happily. She sort of stands up for herself at the end, but not really. This isn’t a book I’d recommend.

Gracie was so insecure, had no backbone, let her family walk all over her. It was honestly quite degrading. They way her family (sister, cousins, aunts and uncles) and her parents talked to her and treated her, the hooting they said about her to her face, she she didn’t act like she cared much. She let it happen, just rolled over and never stuck up for herself… until the very end.

Hudson is sent much better. He was so hot and cold with Gracie. He would be so mean and rude to her one minute then sweet and thinking to him self how he doesn’t want her to leave the next. It kinda felt a bit rushed with them because it was like all a sudden the turn of the page and he’s in love.

I listened to this one and the narrators were not very good, maybe if i read it it would have been a little better. I was ready for this one to end though.
