I don't care what anyone says. I LOVED this book. I ate this shit up!! Bad boy with a secret soft heart for the Christmas obsessed good girl?? GIMME. I want it all and I want it more thank you very much.

This is just the kind of book that makes me want to bash my head against the wall. I was already hesitant going into this book because of its size- It’s a holiday romantic comedy for Christ sake, why is it almost 600 pages?? Right away I knew Gracie was the FMC of my NIGHTMARES no backbone, no personality, and painfully childish. Her family describes it best when they call her a doormat. Yeah, don’t even get me started on her family…. Please tell me there are no families out there that relate to the dynamic these people have going on. If I walked in on my cousin having sex in the pantry I would die of embarrassment for myself and them- not congratulate her and swoon over the guy. Yuck. Seriously, the way these two were so comfortable being sexual around her family was weird, I just couldn’t get behind it. I would be heavily upset as a family member witnessing all of this, let alone being the girl humiliated by dozens of sexual comments and situations. Have just a bit of decency.
I’m the kind of girl who loves a good sunshine/grumpy relationship trope but I could not stand this guy. I want a guy who’s broody, bad to the bone, angry and mean…. to everyone else. When it comes to the way he treats Gracie I was about to throw hands. She is not included in the asshole act, be nice to her for gods sake! Sure, he’s got this whole act going or whatever but it was too believable for me and the only reason most of these scenarios work is because Gracie has zero self respect for herself. Then at the end you want to have me believe these two are going to get married and live happily ever after?? Realistically I cannot see these people lasting. They are too different, and when Gracie says she doesn’t know him she is completely right. He gave you almost zero information on himself and had a pretend personality on for the majority of your time together. I have no clue who this man is and you don’t either.
One of my biggest icks in a romance book is when two characters are questioning their love for one another and the one thing that pushes them over the edge to admit their feelings to themselves is sex. That’s not love you’re feeling baby, it’s lust. You cannot fall in love with someone over sex. That literally makes no sense.
I heavily skimmed this book and would have DNF if I had any brains. The only tolerable character was Granny Murray. Save yourself the headache and put this one on your naughty list.

Not sure what about this book is funny - the misogyny? The graphic sex scenes that feel like they were written by a teenage Andrew Tate fan? The vile way the main character's family treats her? I read this thinking it was going to be a fun holiday romance but it was one of the most infuriating books I've ever stumbled across. I don't know who the audience for this trash is but I would put it under the "dark romance" category and certainly not comedy.
