Such cute and charming stories! I didn't get to finish because the audiobook expired before I could finish, but this is a book I will come back and finish one day!

A very enjoyable read. I love the warmth and humour of the James Herriot books and bought this one on a whim to re-read. I wasn't disappointed and my happy memories of reading this for the first time many years ago have not been spoiled. A pleasant escape to a simpler time. I will re-read more.

The time jumping was a bit of a problem for my brain, so I DNFed this the first time. I definitely prefer the animal stories to the stories about people, but that says more about me than anything els.e
