The way I missed the plot entirely and just wanted the main trio to kiss. I only got 2 out of 3 so it's was almost poly but kazik is the real winner I guess. Also it didn't really end and idk if there's going to be another

I found this book to be not so well written in parts. I am still confused in what time this is supposed to happen, since they do have radios (though they seem relatively new) and speak very modernly, whilst also not having cellphones or other modern technology.
The characters were interesting though I found none of the plot twists to be very suprising. It made me more frustrated with the characters for not seeing something so very obvious than it made me feel anything else.
I do enjoy a story about Russian mythology but I wish there was a bit more depth in there. Most of it focuses on Gisela and not what she is or the spirits.
I was also under the assumption this was a standalone but that ending felt a like a set up for a sequel.
I wish they took a bit more time to expand on the characters and their relationship(s), especially at the end. It all happened very fast, without any real conversation about it.
I also felt a lot of the gruesome things that spirits can and do were downplayed significantly. Russian myth has such a wealth of characters and themes and they were underused. Especially the whole possesion thing. There's so much to discuss and play with there but it only really came up in Alekseys point of views, and even there only sparsely.
I also did not really appreciate the Biphobia in this book.

This is an interesting book because it was pitched to me as a poly book but I
don’t really feel like it is at all. It’s a book where multiple people have crushes on multiple people and there’s absolutely no smut and so i don’t think it should be pitched that way, but I do think that it was a really Interesting book with a lot of fantastic plot points and it sounds like there should definitely be a sequel to this book and I will be mad if there is not one.
