The ships in this series are immaculate. I was prepared for Cas and Em, but Aren and Iria?? Galo and Mateo??? Amy Tintera is a ship machine!

It was quite a refreshing thrilogy. It did make me remember The Selection series a bit, but all and all I loved the journey in these books and am a bit sad it is over now.

And this is the end! The finale was almost exactly what I thought it was going to be, and I'll miss these characters and their adventures. There was a large amount of betrayal, adventure, and of course, romance with tons of different characters. The story was pretty straight forward, but there were a few breathers after the middle of the book. There were a few scenes that I wish were a little longer but I'm not really complaining. Each of the characters finished their arc, even newly added characters like Galo and Iria. Olivia turned out of be way more brutal than I thought, and I was worried about our heroes for a few scenes. In the end, this was a strong series with strong characters and many sweet and endearing romances. Definitely something to pick up of you're looking to read a new YA romance.

I appreciate when a series ending doesn't feel forced or contain resolutions that came out of the norm for that series. It rarely happens where I agree with how a series ends, but this one ended very, very appropriately, and without ridiculous leaps of logic or out of character moments. Good job.

I’m tired of reading the same plot ideas in YA Fantasy
