I was surprised by how much I liked this book. The characters and the plot are interesting, the setting and the world building is fantastic and above all, the mystery, although at times a little obvious, keeps you hooked. 
I found the relationship between Zilan and his cousins to be wonderful, intense and a necessary pillar for the story to develop and I think it is because of their interactions that I enjoyed the story so much.

Two stars for the two plot twists I didn’t see coming (technically the same plot twist just done twice), but I need a happier ending for more stars
