The most unrealistic thing about this book about werewolf shifters working in a hospital in Denver is the fact that more women weren’t trying to climb Noah like a tree.
The more realistic part was Mackenzie not being able to find a man in Denver. And the ones she did find being absolute tools. Supernaturals, they are just like us.
After feeling the unrelenting pressure of an overbearing grandmother who wanted the best for her, and by the best I mean for her to have a man (not the amazing career she had worked so hard for) Mackenzie decides the most mature and logical thing to do would be to fake date someone. Taking herself off the market and easing the family pressure for at least a little bit. The only problem is, while making this proclamation to her grandma the incorrigible Dr. Noah walks into the break room, and of course she names her as her date.
Which is convenient since Dr. Noah has been outed as an alpha and is on the hunt for a fake mate.
What follows is a lot of scenting, tension and some wonderfully knotty things..

This was so cute! However, I felt that they slept together far too early, and we could've used like 2-3 less sex scenes. What a fun time ☺️
