To be fair, I don't usually read Omegaverse stuff, so that was on me.  But I like the fake relationship trope and all my apps were pushing this one at me as a suggestion, so I gave it a try. It was ok, but honestly, I just didn't love it.

I don't know if I can say with full confidence that Mackenzie and Noah had any chemistry. It felt as if it was just physical so the lovey dovey romance wasn't really there.

There were a lot of cringey moments which I admit I love sometimes but I didn't particularly care for them this time. I think it was harder to look past it when the characters weren't as lovable.

This was good but I don't think it lived up to the hype. Noah was a weird character because for the first half of the book he sounded like a robot turned human who had never experienced an emotion before and was confused about it. Then we find out he has emotional trauma and closed himself off.
