Bree really went into this book still dealing with grief in so many different forms. It was refreshing to see book two not disregard that and in fact build on that and the struggle of ancestral trauma and becoming her own character and not what other people expect or want from her. Yes there is a subplot of romance but this story isn’t about the love triangle between white boys, it’s about Bree. Forever team Bree and here for whatever she decides to do in book 3.

The audacity of this book!

Trying to review this book in a coherent manner is eluding me. It was everything, I am left distraught and the fact that a third book is yet to be announced has me fearful. I require answers!

If you enjoy books with complex characters, angst ridden love triangles, intricate plots and raw emotions - then you have to read this series. I fell in love with Legendborn and Bloodmarked does not disappoint.

First off, thank you so much to Netgalley for providing me with an eARC for review!!! This is so unbelievably exciting for me & I cannot even believe that I was able to experience this world again after waiting 2 years!!!!!

Tracy Deonn has done it again folks…… I need book 3 yesterday……. Screaming, crying, throwing up, punching the air… this was amazing. Keep in mind while Legendborn is beautiful & so much fun, it is also a really dark story at times with deep rooted trauma and racism in it’s core & this book goes deeper into some of that dark stuff, so be prepared & take care of yourself going into this one

there is one critique I have & it’s the usage of “theydies & gentlethem” in chapter 32, I understand what it’s trying to do but I think it still enforces gender norms in an uncomfortable way & could be easily rephrased!
